True Story...

I went to sainsburys supermarket today and did my shopping, on the way back to the car the elevator broke down.
Me and another lady were in there, my first thought was 'god I hope she doesn't panic in small spaces,' my second was, 'will I have time to eat the chocolate cake?'
The other lady pressed the button twice...no reply...pressed it a third time..
A crackly voice says "hello can I help you."
"We're stuck in the lift," said the lady.
Pause.
"HELLOOOO," that was both of us..
"Okay, stay where you are, we'll send someone."
Good grief, where the hell did he thing we were going to go??? Where do they find these people???

LOL idiot. Too funny. Yeah I wouldn't freak but I am not a fan of elevators to begin with. Great way to start small talk with a complete stranger though.

Oh Sally, glad you weren't in there very long. Sorry, you had to be stuck at all!
I agree, where do THEY find these idiots to answer emergency calls?!

Very funny story! Every time I set foot in an elevator, I wonder what it would be like if I got stuck. One thing's for sure.... I would stay where I was! :)
By the way, thanks for visiting my blog!

My husband is a UPS man - he got stuck in an elevator once for 45 minutes! He was completely calm (even called me on his cell phone to kill the time while waiting for them to "free" him). I, on the other hand, would have flipped out!
