Nightmares!
Wednesday, 27 May 2009
I had a nightmare that I was stuck in a windowless, airless room with eleven people I do not know, I have nothing in common with, and to be brutally honest, would not choose as my friends....
It's a rabble of arguing, shouting, often screaming and slamming of fists on tables, one of the men in my dream is being patronising, winking at me and seems letchy, I want to hit him over the head with a chair, one of the women cries alot, another man has a body odour problem.... we are cut off from the outside world, our phones confiscated, no TV, no papers, NO COMPUTER....we are hungry, drained, tired, taking antacids and aspirin in equal measures.... we cannot have hot food, the coffee is bloody awful, I am losing the will to live....
ONLY ITS NOT A BLOODY DREAM, IT'S MY SECOND WEEK OF JURY SERVICE....
We have heard the evidence, and are now deliberating, and I can't see us agreeing on the fact that the sky is blue or the grass is green, let alone an actual verdict....
I know why they can't have windows, because if there was one, I'd bloody well throw myself out of it....
HELP!!!!!!

Just keep chanting, "This too shall pass" - and don't inhale too deeply around Mr. Stinky.
I hope it's over SOON!

Oh Sally you are in my prayers. I'm so sorry. You don't deserve this. I'm still wondering, who is taking care of the kids?

cozyflier, well last week wasn't so bad, i was out of there by 4 and Dave was able to be home for the hour between the kids getting in from school and me getting back...but this week is school hols....so i wasn't going to have to do it...but as we were already on a case... I'm there til it ends...which is going to be today, even if i have to beat it out of someone lol!!!
The kids are all at friends, awkward for deion as obviously, need adapted house and toilet facilities...luckily (???) one of his best friends is a wheelchair user, so I am dropping him there at the crack of dawn, driving back so i can park, getting the train, doing my civil duty (uuurggghhh) and then doing it all in reverse....then doing all the bathing, dinner, caring, housework when I get in...
i moan about getting only four hours sleep, now i'm surviving on 2! and these people wanna toe the line....2 hours sleep leaves you kinda short on patience!!!
I'm missing valuable school holiday time with the kids, missing my blogs, have hardly spoken to anyone...
one more day, one more day!!!

ROFLMAO - This post is one of the reasons I adore you...you are fabulous.
I am sorry for your jury duty personal hell...YOU will get through this and when you are done...you will have unbelievable respect for the Henry Fonda's character in 12 Angry Men!

Hi Sal,
Just wondered if Lewisham would fund a personal firefighter for Deion to ensure his safety at school as everyone else evacuates the building when fire strikes?? If so ,both Sam and Ben (both fullytrained London firefighters )would be well up to applying for such such a post!!!!Yellow Lightning ,alias Deion ,plus one or both of my sons, hey girl,no fire would stand a chance!!!!
Seriously though leaving Deion on a stairwell/landing when everyone else evacuates seems bloody stupid to say the least, not at all safe and very traumatizing for the boy even though he is Yellow Lightning and has super powers!!Have the London fire inspectorate been round??Surely to god this wasn't their idea???
Hang on in there girl implementing the British Justice System ,you may be some poor souls only hope at getting a fair trial!!!!
Much love to you all Wendy xxxxxx
