The bitchy element!

Sunday 28 June 2009

As you know by now Trojan (Trojans Corner) and I have been taking salsa classes for a while, we love it, and we go to a really small, friendly club to learn. It’s a great place to begin as everyone is learning and no-one makes you feel bad if you mess up…

As we have progressed, we tried a different club this week. I loved the class, the instructor broke down the steps, it was harder, more of a challenge and I think we’ll learn a lot…but unlike our usual class…there was an underlying bitchy element.

But Trojan said he didn’t notice, he thought everyone was friendly…how little does he know? Of course, the women were friendly TO HIM!!!! Trojan’s about six foot three and bloody gorgeous, not that he thinks of himself that way, and there is soooo much more to him, he’s the sweetest, most supportive guy… but he is a good looking guy, its okay, he knows, he must do, he has a mirror right?

So yes, of course the women were friendly (and for friendly read flirting outrageously) with him. Me…not so much, I got looked up and down, I got thrown looks, snubbed a bit and disliked a bit…but only by a few of the women, everyone else was fine.

Why are women like this with each other???

I came across this attitude with my ex-b/f. He was a real friendly guy and women were always looking at me, as if to say, "What's he doing with you?"

We were at a gas station once, and he said "Hi" to the woman at the pump in front of us. She gave me a nasty look and I just smiled because I knew he was coming home with me. lol!

I've never gotten this with my (current) man, though, because he doesn't pay attention to anyone but me. He's not unfriendly, but he's not flirty.

When you find out, let me know. Women like that generally don't have any close friends...at least that's what I tell myself. BTW--he is gorgeous, and so are you!

The only thing my DH notices about other women is their shoes. He loves high-high heels, slingy backs, and open toes. I wear 'flip-flops', and he is okay with that.

I've never worried about other women, and he's never worried about other men.

I don't know why women are like that. They must be insecure and afraid they'll never get a man.

Women make me crazy.... I don't know why we act the way we do. If it's not acting this way, it's another. My biggest beef is why we all compare ourselves in looks, body type, weight. Looking back to high school pics I can't figure out why I always felt so fat! We're all different, we shouldn't look alike!!

Why ARE women like this? Then try being divorced; then you are really the enemy.

the thing is, we make it clear that we are just friends, I talk about my husband even... i guess its just a hazard if you're gonna go somewhere with someone who looks like a model lol!!!

I've always wondered the same. Why do women have to be so bitchy to each other? I, of course, always considered myself above such behavior, until I met "Naomi". She was a friend of a friend and she annoyed me. But I only hung out with her occasionally when Jen brought her along. So I'm sure I did a fine job hiding my true feelings. Well apparently, not so much. Jen shows up at my place to pick me up and says, "Naomi is coming. Be nice, ok. She doesn't have very many friends." Me: "What?! Of course I'll be nice. When am I not?" Jen: "Whenever Naomi is around. You're kind of a bitch." Me: "Oh."

So I thought I'd done a really great job of being nice the whole night. I really, really tried. Then a week or so later, I reviewed photos taken throughout the evening. There were a couple of shots of me listening to Naomi talk and the look on my face is PURE BITCH. So yes, I am fully capable of being one of the bitchy ones. Sad, but true.
