Saw this quote, and it made perfect sense to me!!!

"Having a smoking section in a restaurant is like having a peeing section in a swimming pool."

I've never seen that smoking one before but it makes sense! We used to have a pool sign..."There is no P in our OOL, please keep it that way".

Sally, I don't think smoking can be compared to urinating in a public pool.

Ohio went smoke free. It is absolutely outstanding!!! When we went to Chicago last year, it was rough eating out in the "non-smoking" section. Smoke free rocks!

I can not remember the name of the famous woman who died from lung cancer a couple years ago. She never smoked.

But, she did sing in a lot of smokey places.

I've seen this one before, and it makes perfect sense to me.

My beautiful twin sister has smoked most of her life. Her hubby had lung cancer, and they both quit about 5 years before the diagnosis, but he died anyway, so she started again.

She quit this year on April 1st, not because of health reasons, but because the cost of the 'cancer sticks' went up by $1.01 per pack, for taxes.

I guess we can be happy for some of the taxes!

To Hit 40 - it was Dana Reeves. Christopher Reeves' wife. She died about a year (?) after him. Personally, I don't think she tried very hard to live because she loved him so much. Kinda reminiscent of the movie 'Somewhere in Time' in which he starred.

I couldn't agree more! I feel very fortunate to live in an area that has smoking bans in public places.

Love it! Smoke free is the way to go. I've never been a smoker but I've been a 2nd hand smoker for quite a few years and I'm dying to quit.

Yes I totally agree. We on the otherhand don't have that here anymore. You aren't aloud to smoke in public places where I live.
