Blogging Against Disablism

Follow this link to find out how to join in Blogging Against Disablism Day
This is so important, Blogging Against Disablism Day is on 1st May...please join in....it is only by standing together and standing up to prejudice that we can really make a difference.

I for one am sick of people looking at my child like he is a lesser human being because of the wheelchair, I'm sick of people presuming he's stupid, and so is he. Isn't it about time we educated people so that kids like Deion don't have to put up with negative attitudes and discrimination, just because they are differently abled...

Your right of course Sally. I don't know if your son likes X-men comics, but they deal with alot of these issue "People being different, etc", and he might like them.

I don't know what i can do to help, but I'll try to blog on May 1st.

I'll definitely take a look and see what I can do. It's a great cause, and I hope we can all make a difference.

Thanks eveyone...LOl yes, it does seem to be a mission, i feel that if i can make just one person more confident about their abilities, it will be worth it...of course it all started because of teh boys, but its much bigger than just us as a family...

Riley Scott, i have set JJ a mission to find some X-men comics for diddy, i should have thought of that, not only will it encourage him to read, the message is a good one...thanks for the advice!
